  1. Policy Statement
    1. This policy has been authorised by the directors of Snaresbrook Home Education.  It is addressed to parents of prospective pupils and all school staff.
    2. The aims of this policy are to admit children who will benefit from an education with Snaresbrook Home Education and who will benefit from the ethos and activities of our online school community.
    3. When writing this policy, due regard was paid to the Equality Act 2010.
  2. Equal opportunities
    1. It is unlawful to discriminate directly or indirectly because of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, pregnancy, maternity, race (which includes colour, nationality and ethnic or national origins), sexual orientation, religion or belief, or because someone is married or in a civil partnership.  These are known as “protected characteristics”.
    2. We welcome all children.  Human rights and freedoms are respected and are balanced with the lawful needs and rules of our school community and the rights and freedoms of others.
    3. All candidates for admission will be treated equally, irrespective of their race, colour, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, orientation, birth or other status.
    4. When a disability or special educational need is made known to us, we will consult with parents and make reasonable adjustments to our admissions procedures and arrangements to enable a child, if she/he is able to satisfy our admission requirements.
  3. Admissions Process
    1. A parent or legal guardian should complete the online Registration Form and pay the course Fee(s). This will include acceptance of our terms and conditions and other consents. A Notice of Admission email will be sent to the parent/guardian. Joining instructions and all necessary information will then be sent or made available.
    2. Waiting Lists
    3. If we are oversubscribed, a waiting list is compiled.
    4. Whenever vacancies occur, families on the waiting list will be contacted to see if they remain interested in the place in the order they registered.
    5. To be placed on the waiting list parents must have paid the registration fee.
